The Vegan Mumbai Potluck is the initiative of the Vegan Mumbai Foundation, which takes place in different part of the city. We have few strict rules as well as transparent policies to maintain a standard in our vegan potluck events. Please find our general rules and policies at below—
1) Video Recording/Vlog/Picture —
We (organizing team) do not record the Vegan Mumbai Potluck events in general to support the preferences of maximum number of participants. In case, some video recording will be there, you will be informed, and your consent will be taken in advance.
If you take a group or selfie picture with someone, please only upload it on your social media with the consent in writing of the individuals captured in the picture/video. We do not encourage it to avoid conflict or misuse. Any dispute regarding the recorded contents will be dealt as per the violations of the privacy law.
2) Venue (Information) -
Residential Venue -
The building name will be shared with the confirmed participants to protect the misuse of private address.
Entry to the building will be as per the building society/CHS rule. You need to inform to security guard about the purpose of visit, if entry register is placed there, you will need to enter your name and mobile phone no. there.
You'll guided by a security guard to the Vegan Mumbai Potluck venue or a particular flat, as they are pre-informed about the scheduled gathering.
Commercial Venue -
This will be published on the website.
Entry to the commercial premises will be as per the building society/CHS rule. You have to inform to security guard about the purpose of visit, if entry register is placed there, you will have to enter your name and mobile phone no. there.
3) Cancellation Policy -
The confirmation list is issued by the host before 24 to 36 hours of the scheduled time. You are free to cancel before the confirmation list is issued for the particular Vegan Mumbai Potluck Group. No penalty will be applied, but your number will be removed from that group.
Last-minute cancellation is not welcome, because food preparation orders are placed as per no. of confirmation. If you cancel after the confirmation list is issued, then most probably you'll not be invited to the next event or invited with a penalty fee (Rs. 2999/ person) for cancellation.
4) Tolerance Policy
The Vegan Mumbai Foundation has a Zero Tolerance Policy for all forms of abuse. We are committed to providing a safe, healthy, secure and respectful environment through the prevention of violent, abusive and aggressive behaviour. Our management, including the host, reserves the right to take appropriate measures, which may include requesting you to leave or legal action, if the rules and policies are violated.
Disruptive Behaviour:
The Vegan Mumbai Potluck management team considers the use of inappropriate words or actions as disruptive behaviour.
Inappropriate Activities:
-Violence (physical attacks or threats of harm)
-Intimidation
-Throwing, damaging property or breaking things
-Unwelcomed physical contact
-Refusing to leave the property/venue
Inappropriate Words (in person, by phone, by chat or any means of communication):
-Abusive language and yelling
-Disrespectful or demeaning language/comments
-Remarks, jokes or innuendos that degrade, ridicule or offend
-Discriminatory remarks
-Threats or threatening behaviour
- Bullying
- Sexual Harassment
The quick action will be taken when the incidents described above occur.
